Health, Safety and Hygiene

High Beach Resort is certified with HACCP (ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System) and ISO/PAS 45005:2020 (OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT – GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SAFE WORKING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC) and under the government approvedHealth First protocols.

Our team and personnel has participated in an educational program that has been developed by Medical experts from the University of Crete (The Medical School of the University of Crete) to ensure we are constantly up to date with the latest information and best practices. Moreover, experts from the Infection and Prevention Control team of Cretan MediCare – Medical Diagnostic Centre, will advise and assist us on enhancing our cleaning and disinfection protocols.

 

Our Actions

  • Room Seal to indicate that guest rooms have not been accessed since they were cleaned and disinfected.
  • Increased cleaning and disinfection of top high touch areas in guest roomsincluding light switches and door handles
  • Sunbeds and Umbrellas are separated by 4 and 2 meters distance respectively
  • Increased cleaning frequency and disinfection of public areas 
  • Guest-accessible disinfecting sanitizers at entrances and high traffic areas
  • Enhanced cleaning at the fitness center and book in advance your training time.
  • Daily Enhanced cleaning and disinfection at the sunbeds around the pools, at the beach and at all public areas of the resort
  • Reduced paper amenities(like pads and guest directories) in rooms
  • Enhanced cleaning to buffets, in-room dining and meeting spaces
  • Contactless check-in and check-out with Digital Keycards
  • Sprayers with disinfecting mist to sanitize surfaces and objects
  • Enhanced Team Member safety and well-being with personal protective equipment and enhanced training followed by protocols

Current Health and Hygiene Standards.

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, we operate under HACCP Protocol (Certified for ISO 22000 of food and safety management) and we have taken additional measures in our hotel on day to day operation, developed co-operations for consultation with local public health authorities to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:

  • Our hotel team is receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced covid19 safety operating protocols.
  • Information about our actions and local news about covid-19 are constantly provided and daily updated
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including lobbies, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.) and have continued the use of hospital-grade disinfectants.
  • We have changed our self-service buffet operation to a served buffet to enhance maximum hygiene and will continue to adjust food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations. Moreover, we have placed glass separators to minimize any contact of our guests with the food being served.

What to Expect During Your Stay?

As you know, the way we travel looks a little different right now, so we wanted to ensure you had the latest list of what to keep in mind when you prepare to travel next. Please reach out to our hotel directly to understand the latest local guidelines.

  • Social Distancing. Social Distancing continues to be a recommended or required practice in public settings. We have adjusted common areas in our hotel to help our guests adhere to these guidelines.
  • Masks and Other Protective Equipment. Our government’s protocols currently require that all of our Team Members wear face coverings while at work and in public areas. Our hotels have adjusted check-in and other processes to allow for limited contact with Team Members for continued safety.
  • Hand Washing disinfecting soap or hand sanitizers are available for use in all public areas. In some places the use is obligatory for our guests’ safety.
  • In-Room Cleaning Service is provided day by day, or upon guest’s request.
  • Change of towels and linens is provided every 3 days or upon guest’s request.
  • Check in time at 15:00 and Check out time is up to 11:00.  This change in the time interval between each check-in and check-out is mandatory as per the Greek Government regulation and guidelines, to ensure that between different customers, the room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, as well as that the room has undergone adequate natural ventilation.

All the above processes and measures are designed to make our guests feel confident when they visit us.

We have activated our teams to provide around-the-clock assistance to our hotel and are prepared to act swiftly should we be alerted to a suspected case of Coronavirus at our Hotel. We are Committed to delivering a clean and safe environment through health and safety protocols.
